The Civil War was a revolutionary battle between the Union and the Confederate states. The war lasted 4 years and was the bloodiest war in US History. The war was to fight for the rights of all men. The war was very grusome and bloody, and thousands of men fought and lost their lives. At the end of the war, Lincoln established the Emancipation Proclamation that freed the slaves in the confederate states still in rebellion.
